The Mandalorian Chapter 4 Sanctuary

Side Quest!

One the run with nowhere to go what will Mando do? Hide apparently… Let’s get into it.

Summary

Mando decides it’s time to lay low and considering that he’s angered his entire guild it seems like the best choice. He chooses the isolated planet of Sorgan. It’s a farming planet with a low population perfect for someone wanting to lay low. Unfortunately someone else had the same idea. Enter Cara Dune, a former Rebel Alliance Shock Trooper. And before anyone says anything, I will not get into the controversy surrounding the actress. So Cara thinks Mando is after her bounty and Mando thinks she might be a hunter as well, so they fight.

Cara is able to go toe to toe with Mando rather easily and they seem pretty evenly matched but the fight gets interrupted by the child. And after talking like the grown adults they are, they come to an arrangement. Mando sets out to leave the planet, seeing as Cara already called dibs. But that changes when Mando is approached by two farmers looking to hire some muscle to protect their home. Mando agrees to do it because he can get free lodging in an out of the way farm. But knowing that Cara could do the same he recruits her with his down payment.

The Mandalorian Chapter 4 Sanctuary

Upon arriving at the farming village Mando and Cara scout for the enemy and realise very quickly that this job is a lot harder than they originally thought. The marauders have a walker. This prompts Cara to tell the Villagers that they need to leave but the villagers aren’t having any of that so Mando and Cara end up training them to fight instead. Once the villagers are competent enough the plan begins. Mando and Cara sneak into the enemy base to draw out the walker. It works and they end up defeating it with the help of the villagers.

With the problem gone, Mando contemplates leaving the child in the village to draw the heat away and let the child have a normal life. But that plan gets interrupted when a hunter comes to kill the child. Cara stops the hunter but the message is clear. The child will not be safe without Mando. Mando takes the child and leaves Cara to hide on the planet. So they went back to square one.

Conclusion

The Mandalorian Chapter 4 Sanctuary

This was an interesting episode. We’ve seen this plot line before but it’s usually done with Jedi so It feels new. I love how in this episode Mando is actively trying to get away from the plot only for it to find him anyway. Silly Mando you know you can’t run from the guild. Okay, I gotta get this one out there. Cara is not really developed. Take her out of the episode and everything still happens although it was fun to see someone match Mando even if it got interrupted. That’s my take on this episode. Make sure to check out the previous post. Thanks for letting me waste your time and Keep It Classy.
