Fight! Fight! Fight!

Okay last episode of season 1 go.

Summary

Things are grimm, Mando and his team are pinned down, Kuiil is dead and the child is on his way to Mof Gideon. Gideon reveals Mando’s name as Din Djarin (Mando will now be called Din) and we get a little backstory on Gideon. But, there is one member who’s been missing this whole time. IG-11 has been on the ship just chilling waiting to be needed. Because Kuiil never showed up, IG-11 leaves the ship and finds the captured child. And after nicely asking the troopers to let the child go he kills them. And then he decides the others need help and one bot armies his way to them.

During the firefight Din is injured by Gideon and the team is forced to retreat back into the building they had been hiding in. Before they can catch their breath a Flame Trooper attacks forcing the child to defend the group with the force knocking himself out in the process. IG-11 and Din stay behind as the others push forward through the sewers. IG-11 removes Din’s helmet to treat Din’s wound, giving us a look at his face.

Mando catches up with the others and they meet up with The Armourer, the gal that made his new armour. She informs him that the empire found the clan after they revealed themselves to help him escape. And then she gives him his own rocket pack. She also gives him a new mission to take the child to the Jedi. Their reunion is cut short as Imperial troops rush through the tunnels after them. The Armourer stays behind to hold them back allowing the others to head to a lava river.  They find a bout to take them out but Troopers are already waiting for them outside IG-11 sacrifices himself to allow the others to escape. Their escape doesn’t last too long as Gideon arrives in his Tie Fighter to try and kill them. Din is left with no choice but to take the fight to Gideon dawning his rocket pack for the first time he brings Gideon’s fighter down using bombs.

With Gideon’s Tie crashed and Gideon being presumed dead, Nevarra is seemingly free of Imperial control. Cara decides to stay with Karga as an enforcer while Din is reinstated as a member of the guild. Before Din leaves on his new mission he finds Kuiil’s body and buries him. And then we find ourselves at Gideon’s wrecked tie as a dark blade cuts through the hull revealing Gideon is alive and has the fabled Dark Saber.

Conclusion

My fingers are tired now. There was a lot to talk about in these first 8 episodes. And this is only the halfway mark for this show so far. But that is for another day. I hope you’ve enjoyed this. Thanks for letting me waste your time and Keep It Classy.
