Voyager: Hm… that’s a good question, actually. Got it! How ’bout we compare their OPs?!

EvilBob: All right, YEAH! …wait.

–Good Morning World! by BURNOUT SYNDROMES-

EvilBob: …Do I have to be honest about this?

Voyager: No. Not like it’ll matter, anyway.

EvilBob: Got it. *breathes deeply* The first thing we see in the opening is planet Earth, with us flying over trees slowly, then the logo reverse-crumbling into place. And that’s followed by Senku, walking with purpose through a… whimsically colored forest. And it only gets “better” from there! There’s a flashback of him as a kid, followed by three seconds of the other two main characters. And from then on its nothing but random – though admittedly cool – shots of characters just walking or standing around or… whatever the blonde girl’s supposed to be doing. So my first impression? This doesn’t really give us, at all, the feeling of the show. It’s cool to look at, at times, but not much else. And the song – “Good Morning World” by BURNOUT SYNDROMES is pretty fun, but nothing that really catches the ear.

Voyager: Aw. That’s a shame.

EvilBob: You knew…

Voyager: Uh… duh. My turn!

EvilBob: …Please be gentle.

Voyager: Haha. Funny.

–Inferno by Mrs. GREEN APPLE-

Voyager: The long and short of it? An OP filled with the characters actually… you know… doing something! They’re not just walking or standing around. You’re seeing them in action, doing their job as it is in the show, itself. It’s really fun to watch, while showing off every character, a glimpse of what they can do, and some slick action animation. And while it doesn’t really give us any real glimpses at the story of the show, itself, it does give us the general idea of what the show’s ultimately about. Also, the track – “Inferno” by Mrs. GREEN APPLE – is a total bop. Maybe not on the same level as “Touch Off” or “Kiss Me,” but still really fun to listen to.

EvilBob: I said be gentle!

Voyager: And I laughed at you! Like this! Ahahaha!

EvilBob: …You know, I think I prefer the smarmy you to the cheerful one. Somehow the cheerful one’s meaner. That just ain’t right, man.
