I hate qualifiers. For all of those who aren’t aware we just had our Qualifier Round for the second TKO. That means we just cut down the anime moving on in half. Oh, this is gonna be good!

EvilBob: So Ry, are you ready to talk about some anime?

Ry: Of course.

EvilBob: Let’s get this thing started.

The Promised Neverland

EvilBob: So, Ray is the traitor. Well, not really. But he still could be, under certain circumstances.

Ry: Bob, he’s a traitor. Not an enemy, though… supposedly.

EvilBob: Yeah, it’s confusing. His story makes sense for the most part but his evil smile makes me think he could be lying about it all.

Ry: He’s completely innocent until proven guilty.

EvilBob: Right, that’s the face of innocence, right there.

Ry: When he admitted it to Emma, her reaction was amazing.

EvilBob: Yeah, Norman freaked out too. It was hilarious and Emma’s reaction was a lot more reserved than I thought it would be. Given how she cried at the prospect of a traitor earlier.

Ry: Emma did seem to threaten him at one point.

EvilBob: Emma’s kind of frightening when she gets angry. She was crushing Ray’s hand too.

Ry: You know what else is frightening?

EvilBob: What?

Ry: The absence of Sister Krone. All we got this episode was a mention from Ray saying that she was on the move too. And that was from the brief conversation he had with Isabella.

EvilBob: I mean, that might’ve been Sister Krone catching Don and Gilda. That would be terrible.

Ry: It could be worse. It could be one of those demons. Just look at their faces, that is pure terror.

Dororo (2019)

EvilBob: Well, this time it seems like Hyakkimaru is totally out of his element.

Ry: Well, he just got his ears so he’s breaking them in and it’s not easy for him.

EvilBob: I mean, they are brand new. Humans lose hearing as they age so I can imagine that his new ability to hear is both frightening and painful. Although it seems he enjoys songs. Especially when they’re sung by someone with a soft and soothing voice.
Ry: She seems to be a very nice lady, taking care of all these kids orphaned by war.

EvilBob: She was even nice enough to take in Hyakkimaru’s group while he recovered from his injuries. Though she had to leave at night to work her job.

Ry: The kids were very helpful. Even Dororo pitched in to help out as Hyakkimaru recovered.

EvilBob: Even the monk guy helped out by finding a place for the kids that would keep them out of the war. There’s just one catch.

Ry: There was a demon and it wasn’t small.

EvilBob: It’s basically a giant antlion larva with a hunger for human flesh, complete with the sand pit trap.

Ry: Yeah, so they decided to work for both sides of the war in order to get what they needed to move to the new place.

EvilBob: Unfortunately, Dororo decided to go help her with her job. She wanted to make sure the armies weren’t too rough on her. And that’s when Dororo learned what the nice lady’s job is. She helps the soldiers relax at night. Only at night…

Ry: …

EvilBob: She’s a prostitute. Dororo, I’m sorry you had to see any of that.
Ry: It makes sense. How else would she be able to provide for all those kids?

EvilBob: Yeah, I feel horrible for her though. She’s sacrificing everything for them.

Boogiepop and Others  (2019)

EvilBob: So, the grand evil plan to catch Boogiepop is to make a fake?

Ry: It’s going to backfire so hard.

EvilBob: I’m starting to think that the bad guys in this show are stupid. How in the world was that supposed to work in the first place?

Ry: I think this will likely result in more Boogiepop imposters trying to make the world a better place to the utter confusion of the villains.

EvilBob: I wouldn’t go that far. But they did just make another opponent as long as he doesn’t get himself killed in the process of being a hero. Oh and then there’s the fact that Spooky E is not part of the evil organization so he’s been lying to his underling this entire time.

Ry: The idiot is definitely biting off more than he can chew, going after both Boogiepop and the Imagination.

EvilBob: I’m still trying to figure out why he’s doing all of this. What is Spooky E even after? This is making even less sense without the organization behind him. I mean he does seem to be trying to take over the city for a reason we don’t have yet. Also, he seems to be jumping at shadows. We’ve only seen Boogiepop stop one of his plans so why is he so nervous now?

Ry: It seems to indicate perhaps some past event that may have occurred because one failed plan doesn’t seem to warrant so much hate or fear.

EvilBob: That would make a little more sense but I doubt that’s the case. One thing I do know for sure is if they don’t start explaining soon it’s gonna be a lot harder to keep up.

Grimms Notes The Animation

EvilBob: Oh My Gawd! It’s Long John Silver!

Ry: Yup. Pirate treasure and fan service, all in one episode.

EvilBob: And, strangely enough, it worked. I have to admit I got really worried when I saw the beach.

Ry: Yeah, it was one of the better episodes so far.

EvilBob: Maybe even the best one so far. And I’m not just saying that because one of my favorite books is Treasure Island. This episode was just that much better than a lot of what we’ve seen from this show so far.

Ry: It will be interesting to see which story gets tackled next.

EvilBob: I’m hoping for Three Musketeers or a One Thousand and One Nights tale next. Which one do you want to see?

Ry: There are so many to choose from. The Arthurian legends would be cool.

EvilBob: If there is one thing I like about this show, it’s the Chaos Tellers. They just look cool most of the time and Silver’s was amazing.

Ry: It was pretty cool. I really want to know why the main villain makes these people into Chaos Tellers. How does this benefit him?

EvilBob: That really does need to be made clear. The guy has to be getting something out of it, even if it’s to create chaos to free an ancient evil or something like that. So far he’s just evil for evil’s sake. Maybe it’ll get answered next episode, but until it does we’ll just have to wait.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

EvilBob: You know, Giorno’s looking more and more like the son of Dio. He has crazy overpowered abilities and he has the habit of saying “Muda” in his attacks.

Ry: Yet, at the same time, he shows how different he’s from Dio. He’s a good guy (kinda) and he’s loyal to his allies.

EvilBob: Yet still somewhat of an outcast to the rest of the group. And I think the best part is that he doesn’t crave power like Dio did.

Ry: True. Anyway, weren’t we in the middle of a fight, last episode?

EvilBob: What fight? It was over almost as soon as this episode started. Giorno got the guy from a distance before he could attack another lady by giving him back his Stand.

Ry: Only two left and the newest foe is less than happy.

EvilBob: That’s an understatement. He can get triggered by almost anything. He even melted down over the name of a city.

Ry: Even though he had a hot temper, his power was basically flash freezing things. Including himself. Which proved to be very annoying for Giorno and Mista.

EvilBob: It was more than a match for Giorno’s Golden Wind too. Giorno can’t create life from the ice so they had to get creative to even get a good hit on the guy.

Ry: It will be interesting to see how the rest of this battle plays out.

EvilBob: Of course we’ll have to wait for the next episode to see how that turns out.

Is It Evil Ratings

EvilBob: So first up is The Promised Neverland episode 5.

Ry: This show is really good so far, and shows no sign of slowing down.

EvilBob: Also dark. Don’t forget dark.

Ry: It’s not dark. It’s just a story of kids being used like cattle for some demons. It’s happy!

EvilBob: And they say I’m the Evil one. Anyway, this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10).

Ry: Next up is Dororo episode 5, yet another show that’s really good, this season.

EvilBob: It’s also showing no signs of slowing down. He fought two demons, this time. It also seems like things are starting to pick up, even more, judging by how close to a war zone they are now.

Ry: I hope it can continue this pace. I would say this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10).

EvilBob: Boogiepop and Others episode seven is next on our list. At this point, I’m thinking they should change the name to Others and Boogiepop. We’ve seen a lot more of the others than we have the title character, and it’s getting a little annoying.

Ry: Hey, we do have two Boggiepops now.

EvilBob: That doesn’t count and you know it! I chose this one to watch Boogiepop do their thing, not watch the others try to do things. I mean, come on. Boogiepop has only really done two things so far.  And that’s why this episode and possibly future episode are only as Evil as a Politician (7).

Ry: Next up is Grimms Notes The Animation episode 5, which was pretty darn good.

EvilBob: I mean… Long John Silver is a classic pirate for a reason. But this episode was a much better episode from most of them and I’d say it was about as Evil as Killer Robot Army (8).

Ry: Looks like this one beat Boogiepop and Others, this week. That’s interesting.

EvilBob: Next up is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind episode 18. It’s JoJo’s and it’s about to end a major arc, so of course it’s awesome, right now.

Ry: The powers just keep getting weirder, as well as the characters.

EvilBob: And that’s why this show is still about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10).

Ry: I guess we are out of things to talk about, so I’m leaving Bob close it out.
