Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ – Episode 10 Recap (Is It Evil?)

The final boss appears. How Evil is Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ episode 10?

I’ve seen a lot of messed up things. Finis’s goals are now part of that ever-growing list. Finis is apparently doing all of this just to get his father’s love by – get this – becoming one with his sister. I don’t care what context you have, that never sounds right. And he repeats that over and over. It gets a little better when you realize he’s basically a machine, but not much. (Chris Note: So… he’s Cell?) …I just now realized that.

Saint revealed a few things about himself this episode too. He took over a fight from Van because it’s harder to fight people you used to work with apparently. Van was fighting his old CO, so I guess that makes sense. Saint held his ground against his foe long enough for the others to advance. He did lose his sword in the process though.  And then he did this little move.

Represent The Creed, Saint

After Saint revealed his Assassin Blades, the fight continued until his foe bailed.
Upon regrouping, another discovery was made. There is an army of Finis waiting for them. Also, he has a machine controlling all those bodies at once. Cardia gets captured again and the guys can’t do much about it.

Lupin tries to save her but that gets smacked down pretty quickly. They are fighting a giant globe thing. It’s pretty much a god tier enemy from what has been said about it.  The one thing that makes Cardia’s capture stupid to me is that she never tried to use her poison on the tendril that grabbed her. Once again she becomes a damsel in distress.

Overall this episode wasn’t bad, but Cardia was doing well until Finis’s presence relegated her to the damsel status. She even fought alongside the guys before becoming helpless. If she’d tried using her poison, I wouldn’t complain. But she didn’t even try it. It’s like she was helpless for plot reasons.

Oh, I almost forgot Nemo came in at the very last part with the Nautilus. Compared to all the other airships we’ve seen, this thing is a Star Destroyer. It’s freaking huge. Most likely we’ll see the heroes infiltrate that thing next episode. Only two more left.

This episode was about as evil as a Killer Robot Army. Despite my gripes, the series is really good overall. If you like the romance in this series you should check in on my recaps for Mahoutsukai No Yome. It’s been pretty good too.

Well, That’s all I have for you today. Thank’s for letting me waste your time, people.

Keep It Classy,
Evil Bob
