Mahoutsukai No Yome – Episode 10 Recap (Is It Evil?)
Elias got a lot of backstory, this episode. How Evil is Mahoutsukai No Yome episode 10?
This episode started off exactly where the last one left off. Lindel’s familiar has come to retrieve Chise so she can get her wand. Yes, she has to return to the Land of Dragons without Elias. Turns out Lindel wanted some time alone with Chise to make sure she is okay. This is when he decides to tell us about how he met Elias for the first time.
In the flashback, we meet Lindel’s master Rahab. It was her that named both of them. That’s pretty much all we really get about her. She forces Lindel to train Elias, so that explains why he is Elias’s “master.” She’s a bit odd, really. Much like her student.
There was another development on Elias’s end. Some kind of magic college contacted him about Chise. Apparently, they want her to attend the college and they even called Elias neglectful. I feel like they just want Chise because of what she is. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of Elias’s enemies is behind this sudden interest in Chise’s well being.
Oh, Chise has to hand-cut her wand. Meaning she’s got to climb the tree in order to get to the branches fit to become wands with a hand saw. It was pretty funny to watch. Ruth actually scolds her for falling off the tree. She didn’t fall far enough to actually get hurt, according to Lindel’s familiar. I kind of wonder what her wand will let her do. She has displayed a lot of magical power so far.
I hope we get some backstory on the college. That pretty much came out of nowhere. I also want to see Elias’s response to their “request.” He didn’t say anything in the episode. I wonder if he was lost in thought or just angry. We’ll have until next time to find out. I would say this one was about as evil as a Super Villain! I hope this show keeps up this pace, not many do. If you like anime with intrigue and romance check out my recaps for Code Realise: ~Guardian of Rebirth~. It’s an interesting show that also has an excellent story so far.
Well, That’s all I have for you today. Thank’s for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
