Is It Evil? – Tales of Zestiria the X
The Tales series is known for it’s real-time battles and excellent storytelling… most of the time. I’m not about to go into the game series though. Go ask Chris. He loves the series, but… he has some words. Today I’m just here to talk about the anime adaptation of the most recent game in the franchise. So, let’s see How Evil Tales of Zestiria the X is, shall we?
If you didn’t know Tales of Zestiria the X is an anime based on Tales of Zestiria the game, but as I found out from watching it there is something extra. It also includes Tales of Berseria’s story as well. I am not going to go into everything. I think Chris would murder me, if a do (Chris edit: Oh yeah =P). So, I’ll just say what I think about it so far. I have watched the first season, so that’s about half of Zestiria, and only the start of Berseria. They fixed my biggest gripe from the game already by making sure Alisha has a more prominent role in the entire story. Oh, and Rose is still… well… Rose. So far, the story has much more appeal than the game had and they have the voice actors from the game in the English dub. The Japanese voice actress for Leilah is different, though, because the original one, Miyu Matsuki, sadly passed away after a battle with lymphoma.
I’ll rank the game too, so we have a comparison. I would say the game as about as evil a Politician. That would make this season of the anime a solid Villain.
Well that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
