JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Episode 3 Recap | Is It Evil?

Giorno’s first true test awaits. Will he succeed at or fail? And just How Evil is the third episode of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind?

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
Studio: David Production
Genre: Action, Adventure, Shounen

After Giorno revealed what his plans are, I almost expected us to jump right into his happy gang life. But it seems the gang leaders are a bit more careful than I thought. Bruno informs Giorno that he’ll help. But if the bosses ever find out what he’s planning, he’ll be on his own. I mean, why should he put his life on the line if the plan goes south, right? Bruno then mentions something about meeting someone for an interview? Well, that’s new.

The interview is being held in one of the most secure locations in the city… a prison. Bruno actual says that the guy inside can leave, but chooses not to. He can somehow do all of his work while inside and the prison keeps him safe so I guess that’s a good reason to stay. Plus the guy stands out a little more than most.

Yeah. That giant is the guy Giorno’s in prison to see. It’s a strange meeting. The guy conducts the interview rather normally until the last part. You see, with all of his abilities, there is one thing a regular interview can’t do. And that is to prove that someone is trustworthy. Well, this guy has devised a test to fix that. He gives Giorno a lit lighter and tells him not to let the flame go out for 24 hours.

There’s one major problem with that. Right now he’s in prison and isn’t allowed to take anything from this guy. Giorno assumes that this guy is bribing the guards and finds out the hard way that he isn’t. Giorno is forced to use his stand to escape the situation. Something he was trying not to do. To make matters worse, Kouichi has found out were Giorno lives. Giorno has to be pretty crafty to get away from him, this time, too.

This is when things get weird. The lighter gets snuffed out by an old man throwing water to clean some stairs. Giorno is rightfully terrified about it. That was his one chance to become a gang member and now it’s up in smoke. Until the old man relights it for him but that causes another problem. You see, a strange Stand appears and rips out the old guy’s soul. It then wields a familiar Stand-creating arrow and kills the old man.

I think that’s a second Dio connection now. So his group wasn’t totally destroyed after all. After the old man died, the Stand turned it’s attention to Giorno. If I remember right, that arrow can’t kill Stand users. Giorno doesn’t know that, so I’m sure he’s gonna run for it. He doesn’t want to be killed like the old man, after all.

Overall I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10) There it has a number now are you happy? I can’t wait to see who the boss is. If you have time check out Bulletoon Weekly. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
