Akanesasu Shoujo Episode 2 Recap | Is It Evil?

You know what? This show is weird in all the right places. How Evil is episode two of Akanesasu Shoujo?

Akanesasu Shoujo

Genre: Action, School, Sci-Fi

Welcome back Y’all! I’m finally able to write recaps again! And the first thing on the list is this strange show. Remember when I said I didn’t read the description carefully enough? Well here’s someone who did. But I’m so glad I walked into this somewhat blind. This show’s got potential so far but will it survive long enough to get to the finals? I’m guessing that the answer is gonna be a no. JoJo and Golden Kamuy are on my list. Those are kind f going to be hard to beat. But that doesn’t mean it can’t still go far.

Anyway, enough of what might happen. Let’s dig into it. This time around it seems that Nana is the focus character. I found this to be promising. If they do this for a different character each episode, all of them may get their own chance to shine. Anyway, Nana seems to be upset about something that was texted to her. I’m not sure what it was, exactly, but I’m guessing it had something to do with her stepdad. Anyway, there is a lot of talking about what happened last time and Asuka convinces them to try the ritual again.

Great, more good ideas. This didn’t make much sense to me. Why on Earth would you want to go to another dimension full of carnivorous creatures that tried to eat you, last time? With the help of a fortune teller that Nana runs into, the girls succeed in traveling to a new dimension. This time the world looks almost exactly like the one they came from except Nana is missing once they arrive. It’s a lot weirder than it sounds.

It just so happens there is a law that on your 17th birthday you have to get married. Nana is just a few days away from turning 17. I don’t think I need to tell you what’s about to happen. Nana finds out and isn’t too happy about it until she meets the guy. Turns out he’s some kind of tv star and apparently he’s smooth, cause he swept her right off her feet. By the time her friends found her she was wanting to get married. You can tell by their faces that this shocked them.

To make matters worse, it looks like all this traveling between dimensions may have caused an unstable fluxation in the fabric of space-time, causing those rabbit things from the first episode to bleed into this dimension. If you didn’t get that, it means they broke a hole into this dimension.

If that’s what’s happening, we may be seeing an all-out invasion, starting next episode. I have no idea what to expect from this show at this point. From what we have in the first two episodes, I’m curious about how this will play out. I have maybe 100 theories in my head right now. At least one of them has to be close.

Overall I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Villian (9). It’s way to early to even consider a perfect score at this point but I did enjoy it. Here’s hoping that we’ll get some more answers next episode. If you have time, check out our 5 Most Anticipated article. We made some predictions into which ones we think will do good. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
