Bulletoon’s Summer of Magic 2022 Collection

The Bulletoon girls just wrapped their focus on Magical Girls for the summer! Why not Toon In here?

Editor’s Note: Voyager here! How do? Been a while, yeah? This Bulletoon project’s been taking an unhealthy amount of my time. Everything from scheduling issues to severe and extremely frustrating technical issues. It was a stressful one, but I’m glad I was able to see it through.

Before I get around to providing the episodes – and no, the transcripts will not be provided here. I will create individual posts for that later – I just wanna thank y’all for your patience and for supporting the show. Bulletoon has been a blast to work on and watch evolve over the past several years. So we’re working hard to make sure it keeps on evolving. Here’s hoping the next stage in that evolution will come along sooner than later, eh? Who knows?

The most recent episode revealed that the show will be taking a hiatus. This is normal for it. We always take breaks between seasons because, at the end of the day, I’m one person and have a thousand other things to do. Bulletoon takes time to produce. But there will be new episodes in that time. There just won’t be a new full season. There’s a BIG project coming up (several, actually). So I want to dedicate as much time to it as I need.

I’m also working on improving the show in other ways. Due to the extreme problems I’ve been having, I’m looking into hiring an editor. Someone who can help take Bulletoon to the next level. Then they can help give the show that professional polish that I just don’t have the expertise for or the time to learn. There’s more, of course, but I’ve gotta keep SOME things to myself. Aren’t guessing games fun?

All right, I’ve kept ya long enough. Enjoy!

First, the girls chose to dive back into the Symphogear series for a quick look at the third season to see if it improved from the previous two. And it did! …for the most part.
Next, the girls cracked open Rila’s all-time favorite, Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, and looked into its connection to war and the treatment of the soldiers who fight them.
After that, it was off to the races with Riley’s favorite, Kill la Kill, breaking down precisely what made Kiryuin Satsuki such a perfect Dark Magical Girl… featuring special guest appearances by Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and more Symphogear!
The girls closed out the season by taking their first real dive into Futari wa Pretty Cure to recap the first arc and see if it really has what it takes to be an excellent Gateway Anime!
