Only a handful of episodes to go. Will we see an upset? Or will the favorite stay on top.

Voyager: Gonna be straight with you, guys. We’re just gonna do this one out of character.
EvilBob: We just don’t have the energy, right now.
Voyager: Indeed. So, without further ado, this is Week 10 of the Fall 2020 Anime TKO-
EvilBob: TOURNAMENT ARC!!!!
Voyager: …Okay, maybe a little energy.
The Week In Review
DanMachi Season 3

EvilBob: Well, that was fun.
Voyager: It was. Seeing the others rush to Bell’s aid and seeing all the shenanigans as the show took advantage of its kinda-sorta harem roots when Bell got himself swarmed by women was hilarious.
EvilBob: I’m still wondering how their plan got leaked. Also, why the others appear to be not very good at countering them even with the information.
Voyager: Hermes.
EvilBob: Hermes?
Voyager: 100% Hermes. He leaked the plans somehow. I don’t know the specifics yet, but I guarantee that it was him somehow. As for your second question, I mean… it’s obvious. Things aren’t really going properly for either group. When one group prepares for the other’s plan to go to-the-letter, a bit of chaos will throw that team out of whack. “No plan survives contact with the enemy,” as they say.
Golden Kamuy Season 3

Voyager: Another prison break…
EvilBob: Well maybe it’ll go better than the last-
Voyager: Nope. Well… barely. They got what they wanted, this time, at least. But it was still pretty rough, since things already didn’t go according to plan at first. Then the whole tiger thing happened and… yeah. This episode was pretty interesting in a couple other ways, though. Mostly getting to see more of Wilk and the kind of guy he really was.
EvilBob: But it’s pretty interesting how the accounts are kind of skewed, right? There’s a pretty clear difference in the types of memories Sofia has of him and the type Asirpa has.
Voyager: I can’t be the only one who senses the undercurrent of manipulation, though. I get the impression he was taking advantage of Sofia’s dissatisfaction with her life to gain a powerful ally. And I’m almost positive he was raising Asirpa to be some kind of tyke-bomb.
EvilBob: Ooh. That would be pretty interesting. And appropriate too. It is a story about what war does to people, after all.
Jujutsu Kaisen

Voyager: This was fine.
EvilBob: Yeah. Nice getting to see Jubei interacting more with… that spirit sculptor guy. He have a name yet? Eh. Whatever. The guy’s obviously trying to corrupt the poor kid. And I expect this is going to go reeeally badly for everyone.
Voyager: Eeeeh… I’ll just hold off telling you what I already know. Beyond that, the action between the sculptor and the teacher was pretty sweet, I gotta say. Beyond all that, the episode was pretty standard. But funny at times. How Itadori even gets the chance to meet Jubei was amusing.
Voyager: Yep.
Yuukoku no Moriarty

Voyager: Hot damn, that was awesome.
EvilBob: *squees into a pillow*
Voyager: What? You guys thought that was him just being in-character? Yeah, no. Just genuinely that much of a Sherlock fanboy. But I gotta say, this episode delivered and set up for the finale of the cour pretty much perfectly. It is so fascinating, getting to see inside of Sherlock’s head as the series deconstructs him – not necessarily in the narrative sense, mind. Just on a personal level. I love seeing him battle himself over his decision, there. And yet they still didn’t make it come off as him being morally conflicted. His curiosity is just driving him up a wall.
EvilBob: Not helped by the fact that the whole murder case, from the last arc, made him famous so people keep bringing him lame little inconsequential “mysteries” that bore him out of his skull.
Voyager: True. Gotta love the implication that Moriarty did that, either to continue testing him or to keep Sherlock out of his hair. And the best part is that after their little conversation on the train – which was awesome, by the way – you really can’t be sure which it is. Great interaction, great character development, great episode.
