Looks like we have a long one here. And it’s an awesome one. Okay, here we go.

Geonosis didn’t get enough time in Attack of The Clones. Now it’s in three episodes with an episode leading back to the Republic’s return. Fasten your seat-belts I’ve got a lot to cover this time.
New Faces
Rush Clovis

A Separatist spy and apparently a past romance for Padme. He’s kind of a slime ball in this episode and he almost ends up the reason for Padme’s death.
Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi

This cone-headed master is actually a chill guy. He even joins in on Anakin and Ahsoka’s contest of who’s the better droid killer.
Barriss Offee

A young apprentice like Ahsoka but she seems to be much more disciplined.
Karina the Great

The Queen of the Geonosians. She’s only around for one episode but she controls an army of freaking zombie bugs.
Recaps
Season 2 Episode 4

We first see That Clovis is under suspicion of being a spy. Padme accepts a mission to do some spying for the Republic which Anakin isn’t happy about but he tags along as support. And he’s about as supportive as any jealous husband would be. Every advance Clovis makes on Padme only deepens his anger. As the Anakin volcano gets ready to blow Padme accomplishes her mission but gets poisoned in the process. Anakin saves her but he’s done with all this crap and leaves Clovis to explain himself to his superiors.
Season 2 Episode 5

The Intel that Padme found leads the Republic army back to Geonosis to find a new factory. It’s a serious deal as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Luminara Unduli are sent to deal with it. They go about their mission attempting a three-prong assault but that gets shot out of the air almost immediately. And with their support ships busy with other tasks they are left to deal with the problem alone. They manage to break through but it takes them far more time than they would’ve liked.
Season 2 Episode 6

Next up is the factory they came here to destroy. They’re also after the head bug Poggle but the factory is the main priority. The Jedi devise a radical strategy of blowing up a bridge while the Padawans sneak inside and destroy the factory. This plan mostly works but the Padawans get trapped inside the factory as the writers thought this would be a good time to make us think they would actually die. With the factory gone the Jedi turn their attention to Poggle.
Season 2 Episode 7

Poggle escaped to what looks like an abandoned temple that has catacombs leading deep beneath the planet’s surface. That is the first sign of something being off. Luminara goes missing after investigating said temple. Ah, warning number two. Turns out the tunnels are full of zombies and the queen is responsible. Jedi sure are brave, I’d be gone by now. They maanage to get away while assumingly killing the queen and everything is safe…
Season 2 Episode 8

Not. It just so happens that there is a parasitic hive-mind left to fight. A trooper got infected and brought a butt load of the brain worms with him. And now Ahsoka and Barris have to fight them. Mind you these two are still tired from destroying the factory. Ahsoka manages to beat them but just barely. They did take over a Jedi which is terrifying.
Basic Character Analysis: Poggle The Lesser
Poggle is an interesting bug. He’s one of the leaders of the most prominent hive and he decided to enter a war that dooms his entire race. I’m not sure why he joined the Separatist but I have a feeling it was because of some unfair treatment of his people by The Republic. He doesn’t seem like the type to go to war willy nilly. It also doesn’t help that the Republic frowns on battle arenas.
Random Fun Fact: Geonosian Hives
We only see one have active in Attack of the Clones but there are many on Geonosis and all of the have their own queens.
Favorite Screen Shot

This whole fight was cool. this is just the easiest to capture shot.
MVP: Obi-Wan
I feel like he deserves it for this arc. He’s pivotal to almost every episode that he’s in and he still cracks jokes while his life is in danger. I bet he does that to throw his enemies off too.
Conclusion
Well, that was a thing. I think five episodes is the most I’ve had to cover for an article so far. Yay! I broke my record. I hope you’ve enjoyed my take on this arc and I hope you’ll return for next time. Until next time, Keep It Classy.
