Quick Thoughts

This is gonna be the Rizu season, i’nnit? Well, I won’t complain! I’m also liking that the side characters are getting a little more to do, now. ‘Specially Sekijo. And that they don’t all fall all over themselves around Nariyuki.

Favorite Sequence or Scene

This was actually kinda tough, but I’m gonna go with our peak into Sekijo’s history with Rizu. I really enjoy Sekijo’s character, being so enamored with Rizu. I can’t tell, really, if it’s supposed to just be a girl crush, or come across as legitimately romantic. But her devotion to Rizu is adorable and seeing why she’s like this is a treat.

Favorite Line

By that token, Rizu’s response to hearing about Sekijo’s admiration of her was adorable and really poignant. Sometimes we perceive weaknesses in ourselves that others may view as strengths. And that’s a nice thing to remember.

MVP: Rizu

Rizu’s just a really fun character in a lot of ways. She’s certainly nothing new, but seeing all of her contradictory little reactions to her base personality is cute and funny and comes off as quite natural when compared to the likes of other, similar characters. And that makes those reactions all the more adorable.
