It’s been a while but It’s finally time for my first impressions of This Hero is Invincible but “Too Cautious”.

The Expectation

A hilarious twist on the whole Isekai format. An OP main hero that is way too careful about how he tackles the challenges placed in his way. I was just expecting a romp that would be fun to review/recap for the site. Not hoping for a masterpiece, here, and I know full well this could end up being a dud.

The Reality

What I got was exactly what I thought, and I love it. Seiya and Listarte are hilarious together. Seiya seems to be the Power-Gamer type, taken to the utmost extreme. I mean the dude nuked a slime, like, five times. Listarte is adorable in her reactions to everything. I love how impatient she gets with Seiya. No sign of any party members yet but I have a feeling that’ll change soon.

The Predictions

I do think Seiya will eventually save the world. But it’ll take a bit more than two seasons. We’ll see him defeat maybe five demons, this season, and we’ll get setup for the next season if it ends up happening at all. I could be wrong, and this whole thing flops hard, but I like to be optimistic. Also, if you’re looking for the first episode’s rating, then I’d say it’s a solid Killer Robot Army (8) and I wouldn’t expect the series to go below a The Dark Side (6).
