Favorite Line

This line is just… haunting. When combined with Crona’s clearly unhinged characterization and the repetition, it makes for a really creepy line that might seem completely inconsequential at first… right up until you realize its actual significance.

MVP: Crona

Was there ever any question? Crona’s debut episode sets up everything we really need to know about “him” pretty much immediately and seamlessly. And while Stein’s introduction was excellent in the way it builds him up and effectively uses exposition to do it, Crona’s set up from jump with basically none, leaving the audience as unsure about “him” as Maka is. It works splendidly.
