The Past Leads The Way To The Future | Weekly Evil Volume 9 Recap Spring 2019

Lots of memory lane moments, this week. Yeap the end is almost here.

EvilBob: Just a few more weeks to the new season.

Ry: They seem to go by so fast.

EvilBob: Voyager said so too… Well, no sense in us crying about it. Let’s do this!

Recaps

One-Punch Man 2 Episode 9 Will be out Next week…

One-Punch Man 2

EvilBob: Yup got a whole lot of nothing here.

Ry: This is just like when JoJo’s did it.

EvilBob: Nothing we can do about it. Let’s just move on.

Fruits Basket (2019) Episode 9

Fruits Basket (2019)

Ry: Hatsuharu or Haru makes his first appearance on this episode on his bicycle…

EvilBob: He looked super cool too. Until he rode his bicycle. Not gonna lie I lost it on that scene.

Ry: Meanwhile, Tohru, Kyou, and Yuki went shopping.

EvilBob: They went to help but they seemed more interested in arguing as usual.

Fruits Basket (2019)

Ry: Yuki apparently caught a cold with some sort of school marathon thing happening, the next day.

EvilBob: And all Kyou could think about was the race, itself. Just another attempt to beat Yuki.

Ry: It was rudely interrupted by Haru as he laid a tripwire trap for Kyou, which had him land on his face.

EvilBob: And the whole situation escalated into a fight.

Fruits Basket (2019)

Ry: Even with Kyou refusing at first, it escalated pretty quickly. These two seem more like actual rivals.

EvilBob: At least it seems a lot more even than Kyou VS Yuki. I wonder if there are more Somas like this?

Ry: Seeing that pretty much all of them have some sort of quirk, I would say yes. Probably a lot more of them.

EvilBob: All of the fun gets interrupted by Yuki having some sort of attack. It’s more than the cold but they didn’t really go into the details.

Ry: So after a hug, Haru transforms in the Ox and carries Yuki on his back all the way back to their home.

Fruits Basket (2019)

EvilBob: I guess that explains a lot. Overall this was a lot of fun to watch. Haru added more comedy and Yuki’s condition added more drama. I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villain! (10).

Dororo (2019) Episode 21

Dororo (2019)

EvilBob: Hyakkimaru seems to be letting his rage get the best of him now.

Ry: He mindlessly marches onward, toward his goal of daddy destruction.

EvilBob: That’s not his goal. That’s the most likely outcome of his actions. His goal is the same as always. He wants his body back. But his methods are getting a little out of hand. Look, I think his family is in the wrong. But if he keeps up, he really will become a demon.

Ry: We did finally get some backstory on the two vassals that follow Tahoumaru around. Apparently they were rescued by his father. It explains a little about their blind loyalty.

Dororo (2019)

EvilBob: At least we finally know why they’re like that now. Though I wonder how long they’ll stay that way.

Ry: With the news of Hyakkimaru being spotted heading towards, him dear old dad is hesitant to send anyone. That is, until Tahoumaru volunteers to handle it personally. With his vassals, of course.

EvilBob: I still think it’s funny. Tahoumaru is always talking about how he’ll kill Hyakkimaru, but he’s always going into battle with his vassals against one man. Looks like he still has his father’s sense of honor.

Ry: Unfortunately, for him, Hyakkimaru was ready and quickly disabled the two vassals by chopping off one of each of their arms, turning the fight into a solo match.

Dororo (2019)

EvilBob: With the solo match underway, it’s pretty clear Tahoumaru stands little chance against Hyakkimaru. Just like a bully to need allies to win a fight.

Ry: And it looks like Daddy Dearest didn’t quite trust him to do the job, sending a mad horse bomber to seal the deal.

EvilBob: Something even the vassals disagreed with. It’s also good to note that even that didn’t kill Hyakkimaru.

Ry: After the pieces of the horse bomb and Hyakkimaru hit the bottom of some sort of canyon, the pieces of the horse combined into a pale, flaming, horse demon… thing

Dororo (2019)

EvilBob: So if he comes riding in on a pale horse, does that make him Death? (Voyager: It makes him Japanese Ghost Rider) Anyway, this was an overall enjoyable experience. I’d say it’s about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10).

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Episode 33
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

EvilBob: So the boss has adopted the whole “keep your enemies closer” strategy as he leads Bucciarati to the Colosseum, himself. That’s a pretty gutsy move, considering Bucciarati is one of the guys trying to off him.

Ry: Fortunately, Bucciarati is going blind and his eardrums are gone from the last fight. So he doesn’t recognize the boss.

EvilBob: What Bucciarati can see is… souls? They don’t really define how he sees them. I’m guessing it’s some form of energy and Trish and the boss have similar signatures.

Ry: So when Bucciarati looks at him, he only sees Trish.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

EvilBob: I do wonder what would happen if he looked at Trish. It would be funny if he saw the boss instead.

Ry: Polnareff – an ally of Jotaro, back in the day – is the contact in the Colosseum. We get to see how he got so jacked up and apparently it’s more than just seeking justice against the boss. It’s flat out revenge.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

EvilBob: And he’s uncovered a secret regarding the arrows. Unfortunately, Polnareff doesn’t get the chance to share his knowledge with anyone.

Ry: He got whacked by the boss pretty quickly, but not before he stabbed his Stand with the arrow.

EvilBob: To be fair, Polnareff did manage to use the arrow to mutate or evolve his Stand.

Ry: It reminds me of what Kira did. He stabbed his stand with an arrow and gained a new ability. So, it’s not like we haven’t seen something like this before.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

EvilBob: Regardless, we’ll have to wait for the next episode to see what the new Silver Chariot can do. This time everything was pretty straightforward. I’d say it’s about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10).

We Never Learn Episode 9

We Never Learn

EvilBob: Good God this was hilarious.

Ry: It all began with an epic battle against the smallest of pests.

EvilBob: And it ended with a blind volunteer job.

Ry: Morale of the story. Don’t volunteer for unknown jobs… Just don’t.

Conclusion

Senko-san

EvilBob: Well, that was a lot less than I thought it’d be.

Ry: Yeah.

EvilBob: Is that everything? It feels like we missed something.

Ry: Yeah feels like we got it all.

EvilBob: That’s all we have time for today. Thanks for letting us waste your time, people. Make sure to check out the new Bulletoon revamp while your at it.. And Keep It Classy.
