JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Episode 8 Recap | Is It Evil?

I have to admit that was one heck of a gun battle. How evil is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind’s 8th episode?

God, this show is awesome! I can’t wait to see what comes next. Mista got to be in the spotlight this time and it was pretty fun to watch. It’s also good to note that unlike Giorno and Abbacchio, Mista had a somewhat normal past. For a minute I thought this entire team was gonna have dark backstories. Mista’s wasn’t what I’d call completely happy but it’s close enough.

Apparently, the thing that got him involved with the gang world was him trying to save a lady from being beaten (and possibly raped? It’s unclear). Unfortunately for him, the guys doing that all had guns. I’m still not sure how all of them managed to miss him though. Mista was standing still almost the entire time so he should’ve been easy to kill.  Unless he has some kind of other power. I still like how he started the whole thing by kneeing the one guy in the ribs.

Mista has always been kind of a brute when it comes to fighting. Give him a Stand that redirects projectiles and he’s like a god. As long as he has bullets, of course. When we got back to the fight, it opened with Mista getting an instant headshot on the guy. But that didn’t stop him getting back up.

So this guy’s Stand is like an extended form of the Stasis Rune from The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild. It allows him to freeze objects and things midair and he can store energy to launch them at opponents, it’s really cool and useful. He can even make a ladder out of floating rocks.

On top of all of that, he uses his Stand to freeze objects that hit him, right under his own skin. So that headshot from earlier never made it to his skull. Because of this defensive ability, Mista was having a tough time doing anything to the guy. It got so bad that he ran out of bullets and the guy shot him in the abdomen.

Mista had been seemingly beaten. He had no shots left and his foe had shot him good enough that he couldn’t dodge the next attack. Unfortunately for his opponent, Mista’s stands can act on their own. They hijacked the shot meant for him and reflected and the same headshot wound from before ending the fight.

Yeah, this episode was just one long continuation of the fight from the last one. I’m liking the way this show is handling things so far. I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villian! (10). If you have time make sure you check out the latest Bulletoon Weekly. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is on Crunchyroll.
