After fighting through two strange worlds, the girls head for the beach? How Evil is Akanesasu Shoujo Episode 6?

There are a lot of things that I just don’t get in this story. For example: why, after being abandoned by Yu-chan, would you trust her without question, the very next episode? Oh, and why in the world would you think that visiting another fragment would be great for a vacation? I’m beginning to think that there might be a lesson on peer pressure in there somewhere. Also, with all the bad decisions going on in this show, I’m surprised it hasn’t evolved into full-blown horror.
Anyway, Yu-chan shows them a much easier way to do the ritual, which takes them to a world that’s nothing but islands. This time, Chloe is acting as the link and she spawns in her own private island while the rest spawn underwater. Yu-chan forgot to mention that the spawn point was underwater, so no one besides Asuka had a swimsuit on. Yu-chan fixed that by ordering some from the community AI, which delivered them quickly, allowing the rest of the girls to call forth their exposed selves. You can blame the phrasing on Nana.
While most of the girls enjoy a beach party, Chloe is relaxing in her double’s house, enjoying her usual hobbies of reading and listening to classical music. Asuka eventually sends her a letter, asking how she’s doing. Which she responds to by sending one in return, telling the others that she would meet up with them the next day. Yu-chan has stopped having fun now, so she wanders off in search of something else to do.
That’s when Twilit Asuka shows up to confront her about this entire trip. And they get into a fight, powers and everything. It was short-lived though. Asuka interrupted it. I do wonder why they stopped fighting instantly. I guess they don’t want to let out their personal motives yet. Yu-chan makes up some excuse that she flipped Twilit Asuka’s skirt, which allowed both Asukas to play a trick on her.
Back on the private island, Chloe has found the dark secret of this world. Every bit of technology is made to brainwash the user. When I say everything, that includes shopping apps, photo apps, VR games, and mobile games. To make things even worse, the AI is watching her every move, so it knows what she’s discovered.
It gets even better. Half of the girls have been using technology from this world since arriving here. Which leaves only both Asukas and Chloe to deal with the problem. I’m not counting Yu-chan because of her tendency to abandon ship when things go badly. This episode was almost too realistic for me. I’ve seen people who can’t get off their cell phones. I’m just saying if this is a social commentary of some kind, it works. Although I’ve never seen people make a face like this while playing a mobile game before.
Overall, this episode is about as Evil as a Villian (9). If you have some free time check out what Voyager’s covering. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
