Did this show just grow a heart? How Evil is Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!’s second episode?
Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!

Genre: Comedy, Shoujo Ai, Slice of Life
Well, we’re back to this show… I’m still not entirely sure what I think about this one. The first episode had me worried and laughing at the same time. This one had me giving it a sideways glance followed by muffled chuckles and side bursting laughter. As awkward as this show is, it’s funny. But you didn’t come to here my first impressions all over again. Let’s get on with the show.
We start off today’s craziness with MMO madness. Tsubame (the maid) has taken notice of Misha’s gaming habits. With Tsubame’s previous attempts to become friends with Misha falling short, she developed a plan to friend her in a game. Her plan works perfectly. She not only befriends Misha in the game, but the two of them participate in several missions together. They even pull off a mystic arte on a raid boss.
Of course, after that Tsubame messed things up and Misha got mad at her. So Tsubame tries to find a way to make it up to her, resulting in her kidnaping Misha to go on a camping trip… Don’t worry Tsubame got permission from Misha’s father first. Somehow that doesn’t make it sound any better. Anyway, Tsubame took Misha to the mountains for an all-night stay.
It was kind of cute. Tsubame was trying to be nice to Misha, but Misha wasn’t having any of it, at first. When it came time to eat Tsubame brought all kinds of things to cook up and she politely asked Misha to help by peeling some of the veggies. Misha refused but she was quickly convinced when Tsubame asked… “nicely.”
Yeah, that is an aura of death. After that, Misha helped out when she needed to. I think she was afraid that Tsubame would kill her if she didn’t. Can’t imagine why. After they stayed the night on the mountain, Tsubame took Misha to a few special places like a zoo and everything. We didn’t get to see that, but Misha’s face, when she was told about them, was priceless.
And now I have to talk about the part that surprised me. We now know why Tsubame is so interested in Misha. Tsubame lost her father around the same age that Misha is. They both share a similar pain. And we learned all of this because Tsubame apparently talks in her sleep. Misha showed a slight interest in this too. I bet this is gonna be something that brings a little more depth to this show. I don’t know if it will save it from being eliminated though. Oh, I loved Misha’s reaction when she realized she had fun with Tsubame. Soo cute!
Overall, I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Villian (9). It’s just so funny. I doubt it’ll survive the first culling it would have to get much deeper before that’ll ever happen. Either way, this show is enjoyable and I’ll watch it unless it annoys me. If you want to see what Voyager’s covering check out part two of our first impressions. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
