The last of our first impressions have arrived. Let’s see how the final three stack up with the rest.

It’s time to get my final three locked in. I have to be honest. There is one on this list I despise with a passion but I’m saving that for the second anime. I want to begin and end on a good note. I don’t feel like leaving anyone with a bad taste in their mouths if I can help it. With that out of the way, let’s get started with a returning favorite of mine.

Golden Kamuy

What in the world did I just watch? That first episode was one of the most disturbingly funny things I’ve ever seen. It’s good to see this show’s continuing its breed of weirdness after its first season. And it looks like everyone is back too. As long as we don’t go to another inn, I’m fine. I’m a little curious as to how much of the manga this season will cover. Apparently it gets even more messed up later. I just want to see if they can pull off the stuff I heard about.

I think it’s safe to say this is one of the shows that will move on past the first round of the contest without much effort. This and JoJo are pretty much a given. I’m still looking for my other two though. Culling down is going to be one of the hardest things I do this season. Although I know one show that won’t make the cut. At least if the first episode is an indication.

Conception

Where do I even begin with this? I played a demo for the second game on my 3DS back when it first hit. So naturally, I thought “hey it should be fun and safe-ish.” Boy, was I wrong. This thing managed to disgust me with it’s first episode to the point that I’d rather cover Goblin Slayer than to watch whatever this is. And I don’t even really like Goblin Slayer. It’s just that Goblin Slayer does what it does far better than this show so far. But I’m stuck with this show until the end of the month so expect ranting on the recaps. Now, onto something adorable.

Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama.

Behold the face of a powerful demon lord. Isn’t she just terrifying? This is an adorable anime. I’m not even sure how much more I can say about it. Right down to the color choices, everything just screams out cute. I’m not sure if this one will make the cut. It’s cute and the first episode added a romantic element. If it’s done right it could move on but it’s got a lot to prove.
