The Fall season’s here and it’s bringing out the tears. No I’m not sad. This is gonna be a lot of work…
Well, this season is a thing. Eight anime, huh? I guess I should say something funny to start this thing off then. So I’ll give you my first thoughts on some of the anime I’m covering and I’ll go into more detail for the episode recaps. For now, let’s just get this over with.
SSSS.Gridman
I think the best description I’ve heard for this show was “Power Rangers the anime.” Although it’s more like VR Troopers from what I’ve seen so far. It’s kind of a mix of both if I really think about it. We have a bad guy who sculpts Kaiju and another one that brings them to life. It’s a lot like Rita and her minions from the original Saban works. And then we have our hero who transforms by going into a computer. I can’t really rate this thing right now but I can say that I’m intrigued.
Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!
This show is so wrong. Why am I laughing this hard? This series might actually be illegal in some states. It follows an ill-fated little girl as she tries to escape her lolicon maid. And no, I’m not making that up. If this weren’t a comedy, it would be horror. I’m surprised by how funny this show’s first episode actually is. It’s almost as wild as Chio’s School Road, from last season. But it’s a lot more on the awkward side of things. I’m not sure if this will make it to the end but I’m looking forward to what might happen.
Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san
What if Vampires are just regular people? This show seems to be trying to answer just that. Not much to say about this show other than it’s absolutely adorable. I’ve watched a lot of vampire media and this one’s different. It’s super lighthearted and overly cute. I wasn’t expecting that. I do hope it gets a little more outrageous. The first episode was a little slow for my tastes.
Akanesasu Shoujo
Cute girls killing monsters? Count me in. I have to be honest. I didn’t read enough of the summary to know what I got myself into with this one. It sounded like a slice of life but what I got was something that could be much more. The first fight was pretty epic so I wonder just how insane this thing is gonna get. It’s sci-fi so I won’t be getting my hopes up. I just hope not everyone dies.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
JoJo is back with a vengeance. Okay, before anyone asks, I’m planning on doing recaps of all the other JoJo’s soon. Giorno is our new JoJo and he’s insane. Remember how Joseph Joestar was a rouge-like a hero? Well, this guy is like that times ten. His stand has some unusual properties that are really useful for stealing things. Yeah, this is gonna be an interesting season. I can’t wait to see what Giorno is gonna get into.
Special: Goblin Slayer
I’m not covering this one but I’m watching it. I did research prior to this one coming out and that convinced me not to cover it. I’m already covering eight this season and those are part of the contest. So here’s what I’ll do. I will through in my impressions on the newest Goblin Slayer episode when I get the chance to. It will not be a full recap, I have too many of those already. I will most likely rank it though so there’s that.
And there you have it. It’s gonna be a busy season. A lot busier than we wanted it to be. Come back later to see if we survive this one. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
Evilbob.
