Chio’s School Road Episode 7 Recap | Is It Evil?

Chio gets tainted by the dark side and we get a new character that brings new meaning to the term “pain in the butt.” How Evil is the 6th episode of Chio’s School Road?

Chio’s School Road
Studio: diomedea
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life,

This episode starts off with Chio heading to a store to pick up her favorite western gaming magazine. Of course with this show, a simple task almost always ends up becoming an adventure of some sort and this time’s no exception. You see her favorite book is no longer sold at the store. Chio kind of has a meltdown trying to find it too. To make matters worse the magazine that replaced it was a BL magazine? I have no idea what that stands for but by her reaction alone it seems like its yaoi of some kind.

As she gripes about her the loss of the magazine she came in to get she glances over a few pages of this new one, and she starts to like what she’s seeing. This leads to the new dilemma of getting the book out without being seen.  She fails this miserably because the store clerk is that biker guy again. It’s okay though he helps her pack the books so nobody else will find out.

Look if you want the entire thing go watch the episode. If I told you everything you wouldn’t have a reason to watch it. I do have to admit Chio trying to hide the book was absolutely hilarious. I did notice they censored one of her lines though and it was pretty obvious which word it was so I’m okay with the censorship.

Anyway, The next part of the episode got a little ridiculous. No more than normal but still ridiculous. Chio and Manana are just minding their own business when all of a sudden they have an encounter with someone so dangerous that the world just might be in danger. Just kidding, some random rich girl just challenges them to a duel.

Chio and Manana just walk right past her though. Manana ends up regretting it later when the rich girl uses One Thousand Years of Death on her. And then Chio gets into an all-out battle with her. Until they run into a crowded area. Chio tries to get the rich girl to stop but she isn’t yielding any time soon. Chio does eventually get the rich girl away from the crowd but she meets her end in the form of a tree.

Right before the rich girl can finish Chio off Madoka jumps in to save her. Madoka actually ends up scolding the girl. I do have to question the logic behind this, Madoka isn’t the best one to give someone instruction. Chio agrees with everything said by Madoka most likely hoping she can go unnoticed.  The rich girl runs off screaming profanities and vowing revenge. Yeap they’re going to be seeing her again.

Chio’s School Road

There’s more to the episode but that’s all I’ll cover here the next part is pretty short anyway. Overall I’d say this episode is about as Evil as a Super Villian (10). This episode was just awkwardly hilarious. I’ve never asked why that many times in my life. You just need to watch it if you haven’t already it’s just so wrong. If this one doesn’t fit your taste check out CVoyage’s Weekly Anime Redux articles. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
