So, the final boss took up less than half of this episode… I was expecting a fight but we didn’t get that at all and I’m not even mad about it. The caretaker as I’ve been calling him is responsible for the tomes that cause people to catch themselves on fire. Usually, I would be like kill that creep right now but they somehow managed to get me to feel for the villain.
Don’t get me wrong what he did was wrong, but the guy is clearly insane because of his past. “But Bob what could he possibly have gone through to make him that crazy?” Okay, the guy watched his mother kill herself when he was a kid using the same method of his own victims. That even induced such strong feelings that his writing carried them to his readers. Yeah, it would sound stupid if not for the world established in this show. Anyway, after they deal with that mess Tsugumi finally finds out who her fiancee was.
Hayato you bastard! Turns out Hayato has always had a crush on Tsugumi he just couldn’t come out and say it. He was also man enough to not try and force their marriage, in fact, their relationship is still just colleagues. There was also this nice segment showing that most of the other guys are aiming to get closer as well. Hayato better put on his A game.
Now, let’s talk about that other thing that was revealed. This is apparently not the end of the story. There was this nice little scene that showed the leader of the crow organization getting on a boat with a new character we haven’t seen before. I’m perfectly fine with this development. I love the world they set up in this show so more time in this world is always a plus to me. I do wonder what is going on with the new characters eyes though.
Overall I’d say this episode was about as Evil as a Villain (9). I have no real gripes with this show, it’s been pretty stable through this run. I enjoyed this series more than I thought I would and I’ll most likely cover it’s next season if it get’s one. If you want something with a bit more action to it to check out CVoyage’s reviews for My Hero Academia. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
