Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari

Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari – Episodes 6 – 7 Recap (Is It Evil?)

Butlers, butlers, and more butlers. How Evil are the 6th and 7th episodes of Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari?

Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari (Butlers X Battlers)
Studio: SILVER LINK.
Genre: Action, Comedy

So glad my original thoughts were wrong. Jay felt really guilty about what happened but Haruto is okay. He did have to stay in the hospital until he recovered but that was about it. Jay was met with protest once news of Haruto’s injuries got out. I don’t know why or how it got out that Jay was responsible but people have started to hate Jay because of it. This leads Jay to resign as student council president. I get he’s trying to avoid conflict and that he’s doing it out of guilt but you can tell it’s a set up by the guy he beat before.

Jay did finally manage to tell Haruto everything about what’s been going on. Yes, including the whole time-travel-magical-powered-butlers thing. Naturally, Haruto didn’t buy it. At least he didn’t until he touched Jay’s bracelet. Then they both had a shocking revelation. Haruto is a butler.

Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari

That was everything of note in episode 6. Episode 7 had its own revelations. Hayakawa’s boss at the cafe turns out to be a butler as well. And it just gets stranger from there. We finally know what’s going on, well for the most part. Jay’s family all have special powers and, for some reason, this causes a time vortex to appear. Jay’s sister attempted to seal it away but failed. She was the most powerful one too so that doesn’t bode well.

There is apparently some hope left though. Hayakawa’s boss has a journal from his grandfather that seems to have important information in it. It explains a lot of things, including how Jay’s sister had a blood spirit in her necklace. Jay is trying to draw on it to send himself back in time to save his sister. That isn’t their only hope though. P-chan, the owl in the cafe, did something… weird. Its told some kind of prophecy and, well…

The prophecy said to gather the power of the butlers. I can only guess that means they have to unite all the butlers in order to stop the time vortex. I have a feeling the next few episodes are going to be interesting.

Anyway, Jay also had a much bigger revelation this episode. All of his friends are butlers. Hey, Hayakawa, I think we found your allies. The best part of this is that the way Jay found out was accidental. People at school lost their memories when the youngest of his friends gave them candy so Jay grabbed his arm to see if he had powers and he did. And then all of his other friends started to glow too.

BUTLERS 8 4

I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen next. This show has some issues but I’d say these two episodes are about as Evil as a Killer Robot Army (8). This show hasn’t done anything terrible enough to ruin my enjoyment of it, yet anyway. If you prefer more magical girl anime check out CVoyage’s reviews for Cutie Honey Universe. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.

Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari is Simulcast on Crunchyroll, Wednesdays at 2:00pm EST.
