That didn’t end the way I expected. How Evil is Ryuuou no Oshigoto! episode 12?
It’s last boss time for Yaichi and he’s feeling the pressure from more than one situation he’s gotten himself into. Ginko is still visibly fuming about what Yaichi did a while back. He tries to apologize but he’s running late for his match. If this keeps up she will hate him for the rest of her life and given Yaichi’s actions, she will live a lot longer than him.
Yaichi gets his butt kicked in the first half of the game. Then they make it look like he will make a huge comeback through the power of friendship it had the music and everything. Right when it looked like Yaichi might when his opponent smiled and the music stopped. Yaichi was barely able to pull off a stalemate out of that mess and to make matters worse. He managed to piss off Ginko again.
After his not relaxing, Yaichi returned for his rematch. This time the match was pretty even until it got to the last few minutes of the game. Oh, I forgot to mention this earlier. Yaichi’s opponent has the ability to make his opponents better players by using his energy. So I guess Shogi players all have super powers then?
Yaichi’s seems to be he can make miracle comebacks. He kicked his game into high gear and actually managed to when this game. Afterward, he sits there in shock for maybe an hour. It was an intense game okay. Trough the entire game Yaichi’s face looked like this.
If I looked like that when I play games I would rethink my life choices. Seriously, games are meant to be fun. If a game brings you stresses you out you might need to take a break from it. I don’t know how bad Shogi can get, but I’m hoping this is an exaggerated version of the game.
Anyway, all of Yaichi’s friends show up to celebrate his victories. Yeah after the one they show us he wins three more. I would’ve liked to see that, but whatever. Oddly enough nothing is decided upon romanticly for Yaichi. I was hoping him and Ginko might become an actual thing but nope.
Overall this episode was about as Evil as a Killer Robot Army (8). It’s a fun enough watch, but if you’re looking for closure in the romance portion it will fall pretty flat. In some ways, that’s a good thing but I would’ve liked some closure. If you liked this check out my recaps of… Oh, that one ended. Okay, check out CVoyage’s reviews for Maerchen Maedchen. It’ll be around for a few more episodes. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
