Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san – Episode 11 Recap (Is It Evil?)
Oh My God! there’s another one. How Evil is Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san episode 11?
This was an interesting episode, to say the least. It started with Yuu trying to recreate a ramen she had as a child. I do have to mention kid Yuu is simply adorable. Yuu has tried and failed multiple times to recreate the ramen. She’s tried so many times that her usual group of friends are stuffed.
Yuu is noticeable distraught, as her plan to become “friends” Koizumi is once again at risk. Basically the same as always. Yuu does call her brother to ask what the type of ramen it was, he tells her it was Tasty Ramen. Right, when it seems her dreams could be dashed forever. The creature known as Koizumi has smelt the ramen. If you didn’t see that joke coming you haven’t watched this show.
As she consumes the fruits of Yuu’s labor she reveals she also heard what she asked her brother. Apparently, Yuu talks out loud even when she’s texting. Koizumi, of course, knows where to eat this fabled dish and it happens to be close by, much to Yuu’s surprise. Yuu originally ate the dish in Osaka. Oh, I almost forgot, the dishes name is Tasty Ramen. Yuu’s brother was right.
The next and last segment of this episode was mostly Yuu less. Koizumi traveled to Osaka on her usual quest of eating all the ramen the area has to offer. This is when she runs into a new character that looks an awful lot like an older version of Yuu, Ayane. Ayane saves Koizumi from a bunch of guys that try to pick her up. It was an awkward situation.
Ayane is feeling down because she just quit her job. Koizumi allows her to tag along as a bodyguard while she samples the areas ramen. The two sort of become friends, it’s kind of weird. as the two travel together Ayane seems more and more like Yuu. And then we get a startling revelation.
Ayane and Yuu are cousins. Yuu has traveled to help Ayane move but starts to get a little jealous when she sees Ayane with Koizumi. While Ayane hasn’t shown to much interest in Koizumi Yuu seems to view her as another rival almost like what she did with her brother.
Overall I’d say this episode was about as Evil as a Villian (9). They introduced another character this late in the season, I don’t know what to think about that. I guess it did help things to not get stale though I hope we get more of her in the last episode. This is far from the worst this season has to offer. If you’re curious, check out my recap for Gin no Guardian’s second season. That is the worst I’ve seen this season and it’s not even all that bad. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
