Mitsuboshi Colors – Episode 10 Recap (Is It Evil?)

It’s snowing this time, I have a bad feeling about this. How Evil is Mitsuboshi Colors episode 10?

Mitsuboshi Colors
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life

This episode starts off with the girls enjoying the freshly fallen snow at their local park. Sacchan tackles a snowman’s head off, for some reason. For the most part, they’re just doing normal kid stuff until they find Sacchan’s favorite item to talk about, poop. As soon as one of them said I have an idea my thoughts turned to Saito. Their ideas always involve messing with him in some way shape or form. Turns out they challenge him to a snowball fight, but there is one catch. One of their snowballs contains poop because of course, it does. Saito did the right thing by retreating into his box.

After whatever that was, the girl’s cat brings home something interesting. You know those wooden temple tag things? The cat brings one of those back home. On the back are the words “Your secret is out” or something like that. The girls automatically assume it’s directed at them. They decide to go on a “covert” mission to the shrine that the tag came from. The mission ends when they find a monk wearing a toupee.

“W-what is that?”

In the final segment, the girls are trying to hunt down a thief. The stolen object is a lucky cat statue. The client is Sacchan’s mom. Speaking of Sacchan she decides to not speak during most of this episode. She said something about proving she’s cute even when she doesn’t talk. If you can imagine that was mostly a good thing. There were a few times that talking would’ve wasted less time, but it was amusing watching her trying to show act out what she was trying to say.

Yui took pity on her and gave her an acorn to let her speak one time. Oh before I forget, the thief left a note telling them they took the cat. Nonoka and her sister eventually bump into the girls. There seems to be something off with the sisters when they read the note left by the thief. Turns out there is some sort of powder on the note which Kotoha recognizes.

She gets interrupted by Sacchan, who used the acorn to steal the spotlight during her “I’ve beat this game” catchphrase. I’m pretty sure Sacchan almost died there. Kotoha is scary when she gets angry and this time was no exception. Yui had to do a lot of talking down just to get the team to focus on the case.

The girls use the evidence to find the real “villain,” Nonoka. It just so happens that the cat is hers. She allowed Sacchan to borrow it but she totally forgot to return it. Nonoka left a note just to let them know it was her that took it back she even signed it. I guess that case is closed? At least it was a fun journey and kept the girls from tormenting Saito.

Overal this episode was about as Evil as a Killer Robot Army (8). It’s still enjoyable, I like seeing all these little adventures the girls go on. We only have two more episodes and I will miss this show when it’s gone.  If you like the fun antics in this show check out our reviews for Dagashi Kashi 2. It’s really fun for different reasons. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.

Keep It Classy,
Evil Bob
