Mahoutsukai No Yome – Episode 18 Recap (Is It Evil?)
The master is now the student it seems. How Evil is Mahoutsukai No Yome episode 18?
Stella is back to keep her promise. I honestly didn’t think she would be back after the ordeal from the last episode, but apparently, her and Chise are now friends. It was kind of funny to learn she is only ten. She acts more mature than Chise sometimes, even Chise pointed that out. While the two were chatting Elias runs away? I have to keep reminding myself that Elias has the mind of a child.
Chise ended up chasing Elias who tried to eat her? I’m not exactly sure what he was trying to do. Chise figured out that he was throwing a tantrum because he was jealous though. That’s right one of the most powerful beings in this universe had a tantrum. When he finally snapped out of it he asked Chise if she was mad. She answered with this…
I guess she was a little mad. The next thing we see is Elias tucked into bead and Chise going to see Angelica. Apparently, Elias is still asleep and it’s been a few days. Angelica asks Chise what exactly happened which leads to a flashback of the events leading up to Elias’s current situation.
The flashback shows them pretty much doing what you might expect. Chise tucking in Elias, gently rubbing his back, and then singing him to sleep with a lullaby. Angelica points out the song might have accidentally been infused with magic putting Elias under a sleep spell. Chise is a little embarrassed by that fact.
After acquiring some medicine from Angelica, Chise heads home to awaken Elias. I’m not sure what kind of medicine it was, but Chise shoved her arm down his throat. He woke up almost instantly. After waking him up Chise passes out right next to him. She hadn’t been resting since she put him to sleep.
For the last few minutes, we went back to the land of dragons. This is when we see something new and someone I wish we didn’t. Lindel wards of some poachers who were after baby dragons and then he hears a very unfriendly voice. Joesph has returned. He leaves with the baby dragons so we know what’s about to happen next episode. Joesph gives me the creeps, I don’t even want to know what he’s got planned for those dragons he just got.
Overall this episode was about as Evil a Super Villian (10). If you like this but want something with a bit more action check out CVoyage’s reviews for Toji no Miko. It’s got a slow build up but it’s building. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
