I think Yuu finally gets it. How Evil is Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san episode 4?
This was an entertaining episode, to say the least. It started with the entire main cast back in school. We haven’t really seen them in class since the first episode and the one time Koizumi did poorly on a test due to her ramen obsession. I think that makes this the third time we’ve seen their school. Anyway, Yuu and friends are noticing the boys have taken a liking to Koizumi. The discussion then shifts to questioning if Koizumi has a boyfriend. This, of course, causes Yuu to freak out. Yuu keeps stating that Koizumi’s lover is ramen but she doesn’t seem to buy that herself just yet.
Naturally, Yuu does what all the best obsessive stalkers would. She follows Koizumi to a western restaurant. It appears that Koizumi is waiting for someone, which doesn’t help Yuu calm down, at all. This is helped even less when four guys meet up with Koizumi. Seeing this as something it’s not, Yuu springs into action to stop them. Turns out the four guys came out of a nearby ramen shop and Koizumi has been waiting for them to leave so she could eat. Yeah, her lover really is ramen. In the next minisode, Yuu and Misa have their own adventure.
Yuu was stalking Koizumi when she was given the slip. Why do you keep trying? Yuu and Misa end up eating ramen together, after going shopping. That’s pretty much all that happened with their part of the story. Koizumi ends up going to the same restaurant just moments after they leave. To make things a little stranger there is some sort of ad behind her that reads “No Ramen, No Life.” Hm, that kind of fits the show perfectly. (CVoyage: Who wants to be the one to tell him that was a No Game, No Life reference?)
After the short minisode, we go on to the last one, featuring Jun. Apparently, she’s running errands, or something like that, when she’s overcome with a sudden thirst. If you remember from the second episode, Jun doesn’t like ramen as much as the others because it fogs her glasses. So we shouldn’t see her enjoying ramen this episode right?
Jun enters a store to get something to drink. This is where she runs into the ever ramen-obsessed Koizumi. If you can see what’s coming next, good for you. It’s not subtle at all. Jun ends up buying some ramen at the store. She and Koizumi devour their ramen in the store’s eating area. Wait… did they just break continuity? (CVoyage: I’m… fairly certain that doesn’t mean what you think it means.)
The people in the store apparently liked what they say and started to buy the store’s ramen too. Most of the customers were male… I guess sex appeal does work, even when it’s ramen. Not going to lie, the last part was pretty funny. I don’t think that’s how it works though. Then again, well never mind.
This show is fun for the most part. I would say this episode was about as evil as a Villian (9). Nothing to make me enjoy this any less so far. If you need more food antics check out our reviews for Dagashi Kashi 2. It’s got a lot more variety. Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
