Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ – Episode 11 Recap (Is It Evil?)

This build-up is killing me. How evil is Code: Realize episode 10?

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~

Genre: Mystery, Romance, Action/Adventure, Male Harem, Steampunk

Picking up right where we left off last time, But Cardia being the catalyst to some sort of doomsday weapon has finally been explained. Finis, the jerk that he is, started the growth process for Cardia’s Horologium, ensuring that anyone around her is now in danger. Cardia’s poison now radiates from her body meaning she no longer has to touch someone to kill them.

When Lupin finally arrived to save Cardia again, he confessed his love for her. It was actually a really sweet moment. He even told her he would love her even if her poison killed him. I guess we know which route they’re taking with the romance for sure, now. While they talked, Finis arrived and took advantage of the situation to throw Lupen to his death. I’m sure he’s still alive, but poor Cardia. Most of the things that happened on this end were buildup for the final showdown. It ended with Cardia at her lowest point.

Alongside the team successfully breaching the Nautilus, they got some tremendous help from Idea. Saint apparently called in some backup from his old bosses. I’m not entirely sure what to make of Idea right now. They used what looked like magic, but it could be really advanced tech, possibly from the future. The back up made energy glyphs to protect the airship fleet from the Nautilus.

The people he brought in looked like they may be robots of some sort. They never even spoke. They just performed their function. They all wore these dark robes that covered them from head to toe. I hope they aren’t from the future. This story doesn’t need that kind of plot thread, and it would feel kind of cheap with everything that’s been going on so far. But it would explain why they sent Saint to kill Cardia if they come from a destroyed future.

All things considered, even if they throw in the time travel thing, this series would still be pretty solid. Overall, I would say this episode was about as evil as a Killer Robot Army. This show has been pretty consistent up to this point. I’m not even going to gripe about Cardia being captured. The amulet that Finis has on him changes a lot.
