What. In. The World? What is going on? I mean… I’m glad I called it in the last review. This show is very clearly going totally bonkers entirely on purpose, but… I have absolutely no idea what to make of anything anymore. If I’m honest, I don’t really feel comfortable really cracking into this in full detail without seeing next week’s episode. So for the time being, I think I’ll just treat this series finale as a two-parters, similar to the season finale of Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond.
In the meantime, what I will say is that the series has now shed all pretense of sanity and completely expanded into full madness. The 4th Wall that was already being tapdanced on throughout the series has been completely shattered. But I can’t effectively judge the episode until I see the conclusion. Because for all I know, it may very well make up for some of the lulls to show hit in the mid-season.
So, uh… yeah. In the meantime feel free to check out our latest Bulletwin Tales comic. It’s a feel-good holiday story of maximum cuteness. Feels kinda weird that the season’s nearly over. Most of what we’re covering is going to be ending in a week or two. But Bob’s recaps of Mahoutsukai no Yome are still going strong. That series manages to consistently impress. As much as this one managed to consistently confuse. As for me, I’ll still have… oh right. Black Clover… great.
I… think my brain needs a bit of reset time. I’m starting to consider creating a new rating tier called “What The Heck Did I Just Watch?” Probably a good idea. Okay. Well… thanks for reading, as always, I guess. As always, keep up the awesome.
