Inuyashiki – Episode 10 Recap (Is It Evil?)

Let’s just title this episode “Hiro get’s schooled” and be done with it. How evil is Inuyashiki episode 10?

Inuyashiki Last Hero
Studio: MAPPA
Genre: Science Fiction

The fateful battle has begun. After their first battle, everything has to led up to this one moment.  I’m glad Hiro didn’t hunt down Ando, this episode. I was getting sick of Hiro getting away with things. Luckily that seems to have ended now. After the first wave of planes ended Inuyashiki stopped most of the second wave by hacking them. The show played a little with our perception, only showing him save one plane but later revealing he saved a lot of them.

As soon as that happened, Hiro found Inuyashiki and, well, shot him again. Inuyashiki tried to reason with Hiro. After hearing what the old man had to say, Hiro actually realized that he himself is the villain of this story. What is that thing you say when something like this happens Chris? (Chris: Something along the lines of “No S–t, Sherlock” usually) Well anyway, that happened. After their talk, the best fight I’ve seen in a while happened.

It was amazing except for when it wasn’t. I’ll talk about that later. The fight itself was pretty good.  Hiro and Inuyashiki let loose every weapon/power they had on each other and the unfortunate parts of the city.  IT lasted most of the episode, and you could argue that it began in the last one. I can’t even describe everything that happened, it was so quick.

The fight ended in a really brutal way. Inuyashiki ripped Hiro’s limbs off, along with the back of his head. Keep in mind Inuyashiki was fighting to save his daughter’s life at this point and he was unconscious. They both were. One would think that would be the end of Hiro, but then this happened.

He looks dead but as these ladies approach, he asks them for water. I guess Ando might not be safe after all. We know Hiro can heal himself, but we haven’t seen him this damaged before.  I guess we’ll find out in the final episode.

Now, I have to bring this up. While I enjoyed this episode there were three times were the CG looked like it didn’t quite render the way it was supposed to. This was in the chase part of the battle when Hiro and Inuyashiki battled through the highway. Now I didn’t find this unwatchable, but it is an eyesore when it happens.

This from the worst part. As you can see the thrusters are just white circles also it’s pixelated pretty badly. It’s a little disheartening to see this happen when Infini-T Force is full CG and I haven’t noticed anything like this, yet. Maybe, they ran out of time to re-render or something? I don’t know what their story is. What I do know is this is not quality.

All things considered, I’d say this episode is about as evil as a Politician. This is a good show, most of the time. Even with the flaws I’ve seen, I’d highly recommend this anime.  If you like anime with a lot fewer flaws check out my recaps for Mahoutsukai No Yome.
It’s still going strong.

Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.

Keep It Classy,
Evil Bob
