Oh, so Oz is the wizard who knew? RWBY Volume 5 episode 7?

This episode was more a less a cool down episode. Ruby and friends mostly sat around no big action this episode. It wasn’t boring though, it was more like a walk down memory lane. They even brought back the Barth Boy and Snow Queen nicknames. It was a relatively fun moment.

The Highlight of the episode at least for me was the arm wrestling match. Who looks at Yang’s new robotic arm and thinks Ima beat it? If you said Nora you would be correct. She challenges Yang to the arm wrestling match almost as fast as Ruby fell in love with the arm. Yang didn’t even try to win either. She did show off the fact that she can launch the arm though.

Oz did have to answer a few questions for Yang and Weiss. This is where he revealed the obvious wizard thing. It’s also good to note that he said his powers are finite.  He actually made it sound like he may eventually become powerless… So, things are still pretty Grimm.

Although this was a cool down episode something did, happen. Remeber how Salem sent some of her people to say hello to a certain bandit camp? Well, the four of them just arrived.  I’m pretty sure Raven is in trouble. Salem has apparently sent her maiden backup. I’m hoping we get to see the older guy fight. He’s one of Salem’s inner circle so he has to be powerful.

The only prediction I have for this battle would be the bandits will most likely be slaughtered.  Some people are saying this will happen off screen, but they killed off that one White Fang leader on screen. And we didn’t ever see her before that. I just don’t see them killing off Raven off screen since she’s an important character in this season. They could, but I find that very unlikely.

This episode was rather tame, It wasn’t boring, but it wasn’t all that entertaining either. We got some humor and confirmation of things that should’ve been obvious to most of the viewership. We don’t need an explanation of everything, but that’s been happening through most of this volume so far. It’s not bad but it gets repetitive, especially when what they are explaining is so obvious.

This episode wasn’t anything special, but it did have its fun moments. It’s a shame those didn’t last very long. I would say this episode was about as evil as a Politician. It was still better than last Blake episode. If you like what you read check out What’s On.
