About Time! How evil is Net-juu no Susume episode 8?
Homare did it. He actually did it. Yuuta joined the game as his character from the previous game. Moriko didn’t seem to recognize him, so he flat out told her that he used to play the older game. Moriko lacked the nerve to ask him about his past game life. I’m starting to see how much these two are alike now. They both lack the confidence to take action during interactions with other people.
We got a lot of Yuuta’s backstory in this episode, leading up to the reveal of his past gameplay experience with Moriko. It was funny to see back then Moriko played Lily’s role in the old game. It made things come full circle in their current relationship. The best part of the reveal itself is when Moriko called Yuuta to ask if he was the one she played with so long ago.
Moriko has apparently been smitten with him ever since they first met in that MMO. Yuuta seems to feel the same, but this is a comedy, and there is what 2 episodes left? What is going to happen with that remaining time?
Well, Yuuta tried to tell her he was Lily (seriously. about time) over the phone, but his phone died. I thought that was the end of the episode honestly. But Yuuta meets Moriko in the real world again and straight up tells her he’s Lily… and then the episode ends. All we have to go on for Moriko’s reaction is this.
She isn’t angry, but she isn’t happy either. I don’t think she will be angry, personally. She may freak out a little. We know she’s prone to that. She also didn’t seem all that surprised when Homare played a female character either. Though that could be the show’s propensity for delayed reactions. I would say this episode is about as evil as a Super Villian. I’m looking forward to how this will play out. If you like what you read check out our Galvanic Cinema articles.
