So, only Blake needs to regroup now. How Evil is RWBY Volume 5, episode 6?

After that exposition dump, last time, I was a little concerned about this episode. This episode actually took us back to Qrow, who has been looking for his old contacts. There’s just one problem… They dead. Every single one of them. Not one came back from their last missions. It’s possible some of them could be alive, but I wouldn’t count on it.

After that happy realization, we finally got to see Yang’s talk with mommy dearest. It went well until Raven mentioned Yang’s father in a less than flattering way. The talk itself was about things that we as viewers already knew for the most part. Salem, Ozpin, and Grimm. We also learned Raven’s ability to turn into a… well… raven is not natural. It seems like she was suggesting Ozpin did something to her and Qrow that lets them do that.

Raven, seems to be trying to get Yang to not trust Ozpin. She tried to use Ozpin’s war against Salem to talk Yang out of going to see Ruby. There has to be something more to her disdain for Oz. Yang chose to leave, so maybe Qrow will fill us in at some point coming up?  In any case, Raven did eventually send the pair to Qrow. You know, that power could’ve come in handy, like when the beacon was under attack. At least Raven could’ve saved Yang from losing her arm. Model parenting, right there.

The last part of the episode was nice. Ruby, Yang, and Weiss reunited. It was kind of adorable. Apparently Ruby thought Yang was mad at her for leaving. She wasn’t, but Ruby kept trying to explain things in a jumbled mess of words. Yang’s reaction was to hug her. As I said – Adorable. They invited Weiss in after they had a good hug too.

This episode was great. We still got some exposition with the talk, but this time it was a lot more interesting in delivery. Qrow’s part was funny until you learned why it wasn’t. Seriously that was messed up.  I would say this episode was about as evil as a Politician. If you like any of this, check out our other stuff.
