With The Batman film pretty far from release, there are whispers that speak of a new Dark Knight.
That’s right although nothing has been confirmed the word is Affleck is out. This was revealed by El Fanboy, so take it with a grain of salt. Personally, I hope this isn’t true. Affleck isn’t the best but he did well with what he was given. I’m mostly concerned with the continuity they’ve set up for Justice League.
Changing actors out in the middle of establishing this universe doesn’t sound like the best thing that could happen right now, but It’s not unheard of even Marvel recast the Hulk and War Machine after the characters were already established in the MCU. Affleck did admit that he wanted to segue out of the role, but he later denied that claim. It’s all more complicated than it should be. If they do change out Batman, it would be nice if they gave a story reason for it. Something like what happened in Batman Beyond, when the mantle was passed down to someone else might be cool.
The guy rumored to be replacing Affleck is Jake Gyllenhaal. Apparently, he auditioned for Batman Begins. He does look like he could fill the part, at least. I’m honestly not a fan of recasting characters in an ongoing series. Maybe I just get attached to the first actors? God, I hope this isn’t true.
What does sound good is that The Batman might just be a detective film. Maybe, just maybe, it will be a good film. Even if the new guy ends up being Batman. I’ve read Chris review on Justice League. I know this universe has its problems, but I’m hoping this movie will be at least a little bit better than Justice League. I know it’s never going to beat Wonder Woman.
Right now we don’t know if it’s true or not. We still don’t have a release date or much information in general. Until then, all we can do is wait. While your waiting, check out the rest of our stuff.
Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thank’s for letting me waste your time, people.
