Elias… My, what big teeth you have. How Evil is Mahoutsukai no Yome episode 7?
After that adorable moment from the last episode, we get this. This episode got all kinds of dark. It started with Elias and Chise going to investigate a Church Grim. It’s a large, black, dog spirit thing. Not that bad yet, right? They went to a graveyard and someone was supposedly just killed by it.
To make matters worse, Chise gets attacked by some sort of shadow creature that is looking rather murderous. She get’s saved by a man who crushes the creature with his bare hands. When it turns out he was the Grim all along, one of the wizards attacks Chise. It occurs to me that Chise can’t catch a break in this series.
Apparently, the wizards are being forced to work for some monster child that wants the Grim for a Chimera. Here’s the kicker. That monster child was the one responsible for the incident with the cats all those years ago too. I think we have an actual bad guy now. The kid even hurt Chise. And Elias… you saw his true form up there. I think it’s safe to say he’s angry.
I wonder if he will fight this time? Chise got hurt pretty bad and Elias went all beast mode. And who is this demon of a child? He seems to know Elias. Do they have some horrible history? I have a lot more questions than answers, now. If this kid survives the encounter, I wonder what other dastardly things he’s done in the past. He looks so innocent what made him so evil in the first place?
This episode had a serious tone throughout. The only thing that was sort of funny was when Chise knocked out the wizard with the sleeping potion she made. It was nice to see the tone change so drastically. I wonder what’s going to happen after this arc. I would say this episode was about as evil as a Super Villain! That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
