So, remember that Lord of The Rings series that got brought up not to long ago?
Amazon will be producing this series, and it’ll apparently have multiple seasons. They also procured rights to any spin-offs that may happen over the course of the show’s life. We also now know that it will be set during events prior to Fellowship of The Ring. They mentioned that there will be all new stories set in Middle Earth, but they “are unexplored stories, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s original writings.”

There is one thing about all this that has me curious. How far before Fellowship of The Ring is this supposed to be? What they said is pretty vague. I’m hoping it’s how Sauron became the evil that he is. But seeing how they didn’t mention The Hobbit movies, I don’t think it’ll be before them. Though I wouldn’t rule it out, just yet.

Perhaps we will see Sauron regaining his lost strength? That would be a possibility if The Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War get de-canonized. Though I hope they don’t go that route. Then there’s the possibility that those games are the show. Those games are also based on untold stories. While I think that doing something like that would be a bad move, I’m intrigued to know if it’s true or not.

I really want this to be about things we haven’t seen anywhere else in the series so far. Middle Earth is huge. There are tons of stories that might not even revolve around Sauron out there. We know there are other lands we haven’t seen, for example. The evil men from Return of The King came from somewhere. We could see their land and maybe how Sauron took it over.

We still need more information before we know exactly what they will be doing with this series. But judging by how fast we got this news, I doubt we will have to wait too long.
