Looks like Adam raised his charisma stats. Added a dose of supremacy. How evil is RWBY Volume 5 episode 2?
I knew Adam was a little bit on the power-hungry, controlling side, but A coup d’état? That I didn’t expect from him. His complete takeover of The White Fang will most likely put a damper on Blake’s plans. It also opens the opportunity for a three-sided battle. Adam did just go against Salem’s wishes. It’s likely he plans on getting rid of her as well. I don’t see this going any other way.
I’m pretty sure Blake is going to have to deal with him sooner or later. Part of me is hoping she takes over after defeating him. That would give Salem an army to fight against. Maybe Blake will restore The White Fang to the force for equal rights they used to be? I’m looking forward to how this plays out.
Weiss had her own problems in this episode, in the form of an awesome airship battle with wasp-like Grim. In fact, this was most of the episode. We even got to see her use her completed summoning ability in combat. It is interesting that something so big could move that fast. It was made of energy so it makes sense.
The most interesting part happened after the airship crash. Weiss woke up to the very dangerously familiar face of, Raven. Raven seemed to know who Weiss was I’m thinking it’s ransom time, Raven is a bandit after all. With Raven’s arrival and apparent capture of Weiss, It’s starting to look like the team’s reunion may take place in the bandit camp. And judging by the buildup, that may be this volume’s finale. I’m just speculating of course. But it seems that’s what they are going for. That would mean The White Fang would most likely be in the next volume.
Anyway, So far this volume is off to a great start. I would say it’s about as evil as a Politician. Nothing worth lowering the rating and this volume is pretty consistent overall. I do wonder how far they will let Adam go on before he gets what’s coming to him (Chris Note: Because he is getting what’s coming to him). I know Yang and Blake have to face him again to have closure. I don’t see Yang forgiving him for taking her arm. Anyway, if you liked this review check out our others.
Well, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
Evil Bob
