S-she smiled. In public! How Evil Is Net-juu no Susume episode 3?
Net-juu no Susume
Studio: Signal.MD
Genre: Comedy, Romance, Slice of Life
Lots of developments in this episode. We learned that Moriko used to work at the same company as Yuuta’s friend. We even get a flashback of her working with him, albeit over the phone. We also know she resigned, but we still don’t know the exact reason why. It also happens that she turned down the dinner offer by telling Yuuta the elbow to the face was her fault, and that she didn’t want to inconvenience him further.
We also see something I didn’t expect. Outside of her home anyway. Moriko is visibly happy in public while buying things at the store she fled from in the first episode. It was kind of cute. She was humming, smiling, and being cheerful. We got that awkward scene with Yuuta, and his friend acting like his mom… Those two are weird together. In a good way, of course. Their conversations can be pretty funny.
Moriko has an amusing habit too. She drinks to get things off her mind. Whenever something started bugging her, she ran for a drink. When she finally settled things with Lily, she was a little bit on the overjoyed side. (Chris Note: Try a lot-a-bit. Again… cute.
The guild members all still have parts to play too. I love how they interact and collectively spy on each other. Also: I’m pretty sure these guys maxed out their stealth stats. Otherwise, how did they all go completely unnoticed while grouped up behind a tree, five feet away, dressed in all bright, obvious colors?
Game mechanics aside, I would say this episode is about as evil as a Super Villain. I’m not knocking off points for the game mechanics when the story elements are perfect (Chris Note: Plus it’s a comedy. I’m pretty sure that was the joke). Still waiting on Moriko and Yuuta to go out, but we have all season for something like that. Did you like this review? Check out the other reviews for this season.
That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for letting me waste your time, people.
Keep It Classy,
Evil Bob
