Episode 9 of Samurai Jack, Season 5, was… something. Of course, there is only one question that needs answering. How Evil Is It?
One thing is for sure, the next episode will end the series but, how are they going to get Jack out of this mess? Jack himself has stated he will never be able to go home, and it seems like he has accepted his fate. Two things are bothering me though. If he can’t go home won’t he be immortal and outlive his lover? If he did manage to get home will she be able to come with him and if she did will she still age? I feel like the ending will be bittersweet either way, unless by killing Aku Jack will age again. Then there is the matter of how this episode ended. Remember the female lead was a daughter of Aku? Well, that’s more than a title she literally is his daughter and well she kind of transformed into a female Aku. She then defeated Jack, against her will of course. To sum it up, Jack is captured and his lover is a shapeshifter now.
How am I going to rate this? I hate cliff hangers almost as much as filler. I guess I can forgive them seeing how this is the 1st part of the finale and they don’t have 3 more episodes to conclude this any other way. I’ll say this episode is as evil as a Super Villian.
