Blah, blah, blah – How Evil Is Samurai Jack Season 5 Episode 8?

I have lots of things to say about this episode. This was The Romance Episode for this series, and I’m sure they couldn’t have done that any faster if they tried. Jack and the ex-assassin are apparently now an item… Officially. The romance was subtle until now. The writers couldn’t have made this episode any less subtle. In fact, I would say this episode is the pinnacle of “That escalated quickly.” This sounds terrible, right? Wrong! They pulled the best kind of rabbit out of their hats for this episode. Not only did they make me laugh so hard I cried (many times), they managed to subvert or include romantic comedy tropes by the bucketfuls.

This episode is a little harder to rate. My ratings don’t go beyond Super Villain. This one went beyond. I’ll give it a Plus Ultra! (Chris: …Insert Snark Here). There were just too many things they did right. They have surpassed the original show. Heres hoping the finale will be this good, or even better.
